This is will our last soup kitchen for sometime. Due to the Covid-19 we have decided to stop our soup kitchen based on the instructions of the Registrar of Societies Malaysia.
We are even postponing our regular meetings.
The Leo Club of Anderson School Ipoh is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. We had plan to hold it in April but with the COVID-19 on, we have postponed it to June.
If any of our followers wish to send a congratulatory message (preferably with photo and your country) to them, please do so and we shall publish it in their 50th Anniversary souvenir magazine.
We hope youall can respond on or before 31st March 2020.
Update 31st Mac 2020
Those wanting to send the wishes may continue up to 15th April since here in Malaysia is still lockdown.
Oh dear, lots of countries under lockdown. Hopefully everything will get better as soon as possible.

ReplyDeletePs - please take care everyone.
Oh my. How many weeks its gonna stop?
ReplyDeleteHere in Italy even in lockdown, its not really slowing down. Hopefully everything will be okay as soon as possible.
Ps - what an interesting offer! I can try it too isnt it?
Thats a good opportunity to show them our love. I'll try to find a good picture since its so hard to go out now.
ReplyDeleteBtw, where to send it?
Dear N, J, Elsa and KR,
ReplyDeletePlease send your greetings to lcipohhost@gmail.com
I want to join too. But my picture is not so good. Im bald now. Haha. Hopefully Admin still remember me ;)
ReplyDeleteYes B. How can we forget one of our pioneers.
DeleteYou are handsome the way you are B!
ReplyDeleteI will join in, but its hard to take picture outside to show you that I'm from Japan. Many of us still have to stay at home.
Hopefully all of you are safe.
Ps - pray for our friends speedy recovery too.
Thanks A.
DeleteWherever you are we hope and pray you are safe.
For those who are already down we pray and hope for a speedy recovery.
Until when it will be postpone? How Malaysian deal with COVID-19? It must be hard for those participants of soup kitchen too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a movement restrictions order in Malaysia Meave. We can't go out unless for emergencies.
DeleteImposed until 31st Mac.
Hopefully everything is well for all of us.
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope and pray Bella.
DeleteIs movement restrictions order in Malaysia same as a lockdown?
ReplyDeleteIm worried about our friends in Japan, their school going to start soon even when the novel coronavirus is not down yet.
It's the same J.
DeleteAll Lions are in slumber in their dens.
We feel its left to each country's government to decide what is good for them.
Hopefully all of this will go off soon. But watching the figure is so so bad.
ReplyDeleteI just got discharge this morning! Oh how i appreciate this life and all the doctors nurses. Believe me, its like a disasterscene in the movie, just that its not a movie, its REAL. Now going to join others in stay at home.
Ps - just stay healthy. Dear K, we know you can.get over this. I did and i believe you can too. Fighthing!!!
Oh dear. We pray for KR speedy recovery and have complete rest at home.
DeleteOthers stay strong. You all can beat this COVID-19.
Glad to hear that Kim!
ReplyDeleteHopefully everyone will take care of themselves more and we can fight this.
Hope Admin and Lions are safe and sound too.
At the moment we are ok N.
DeleteHope that everything is well for all of us.
ReplyDeletePs Admin- is there a possibility that this RMO will be continue after 31st?
We think it all depends on the number of cases per day.
DeleteIf the numbers are down then maybe the government will not order an extension Leo Issac.
Good luck everyone. Stay safe. Congratulations to Leo Club of Anderson School Ipoh for your 50th Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteWith love from Indonesia.
Ps - we are going to experience lockdown tomorrow, any advice? Haha
Stay strong Lily Maria and follow the rules.
DeleteThank you Admin.
ReplyDeleteIn my place there's few stage of shutdown/lockdown, we are in stage 2 now. There a list of the federal government’s shutdown. Such as banned/closed, restricted and remaining open. How is the shutdown/lockdown in your place look like? Malaysia use a different term if I'm not mistaken right? Movement Control Order?
For me, its not so different. As I am living like a people under quarantine for quite some time. Haha
You are right B. Movement control order. You can go to supermarkets and pharmacies only. You can order and take away food from local restaurants and fast food outlets. Most places open from 7am to 7pm only.
DeleteIt is very very disturbing. As a health care worker, its like we are experiencing earthquake, but without blood. When we are watching patients with difficulty of breathing its just break our heart. Some of us cant even go home. We are scare but everytime we face our patients, we need to be strong. Pretending to be strong is very tiring. I personally hope that if your country ask you all to stay at home, just stay at home. That the best for all of us.
ReplyDeleteSorry im not able to comment on lot of LCIH recent P&A. Ill try to find time to write a congratulatory message to Anderson Leo Club when im free. Congratulations! And congratulations Kim on your recovery, please stay alert even after discharge.
Thanks for sharing your working experience with us Jewel.
DeleteAdvice well taken. Stay At Home.
And thanks for LCOA message.
Can i write a wish like this:-
ReplyDeleteLeo Club of Anderson School Ipoh,
Wishing you many more years of unparallel success. Happy anniversary! May this journey of success and humanitarian continue in the coming years.
Fighting!
Sincerely,
Kim Rin H. (South Korea)
Thank you very much KR for your message. Hope you are well now. Others we hope and pray you are well and if not, do not give up hope. God and all your loved ones are standing with you.
DeleteWill LCIH continue the soup kitchen project after the lockdown?
ReplyDeleteYes Nia B.
DeleteWe shall continue. Originally we were to start back on 1st April onwards. Now lockdown until 14th April. Should be soon after that.
Hopefully April will be good to us.
ReplyDeleteYes J. Hopefully.
DeleteHi
ReplyDeleteIm going to send the wish through email before 31st. Hopefully you received it. Thank you.
All the best!
Thank you very much N. We have received yours.
DeleteVery happy you make the date longer. Kinda blank during this MCO. Haha
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Leo Isaac.
DeleteHow is it in Malaysia? In Croatia we are a bit panic.
ReplyDeleteIts the same everywhere Leo Danty. Everybody is worried and staying indoors. Only going out to buy the essential items.
DeleteTechnology is fun to be use. But it just didn't have the same feeling when you are together with others. But, the whole COVID-19 cases really strengthened the family bond right?
ReplyDeleteDid LCIH also make online meeting or discussion too?
Couldn't agree more KR.
DeleteNo meetings has been held by LCIH todate.
Hope for the best, but if its the best to extend it, then it have to be done right. No matter how rich you are, once your health is in danger, the sane people will choose health. Only a gold digger choose money.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Malaysia got a way to also fulfill the needs of underprivilege people during the lockdown too.
You are absolutely right Ima Aruin.
DeleteWith very stringent rules during the MCO its difficult to really gauge the situation on the ground.
How did you all spend your corona-cation? Come share with us. Mine, i miss my family because most of my friends keep on uploading picture of them in the house with their family. Someone always cutting onions everytime i saw their ig update.
ReplyDeleteWhat about you too Admin?
Sorry to hear you are not with your fly Leo Issac because in times like these you should be with them.
DeleteAs far as Admin is concern all are only busy when trying to answers all of you. Otherwise all bored stiff.
Me, im playing fort in the house with my sister. Haha
ReplyDeleteI heard Malaysia also extend their lockdown, is it true?
Waa. Playing fort Sam. Can we join you? Hihi.
DeleteDear cousin, you didnt invite me? Hihi
ReplyDeleteWe are in full lockdown in our country. We keep on trying new recipes everyday. So far we manage to try Malaysia roti canai. Its so easy. But we didnt have curry or dhall. Is there any other substitute for it Admin?
Meave, try sardines in tomato sauce or just spread a bit of sugar on your roti canai.
DeleteOk Admin Lions, my mom just ask why its not sound as crispy as the one on youtube? Help me please.
ReplyDeleteTo make it crispy you need to stretch the dough. This is an art you can do with much practice only.
DeleteWow someone gonna be a chef after this coronacation over. What a good things to do. Oh ya, is paratha same like roti canai? Its Indian or Malaysia dish btw?
ReplyDeleteIts different A. We think paratha originally from India but roti canai is Malaysian words, so we think its local.
DeleteLets play a game of how many real friends you actually have. To be honest, in this lockdown moment is the time when you realise who is important and who is not. Who is the persons you cant go a day without spend few moments with them, who are the friends who you need the most too. I believe everyone of us got that few people that we always keep in touch everyday and some people which is its okay not to deal with them everyday. Is it right Admin and my friends?
ReplyDeleteAlso, there is a 2nd group of people that really annoy you with their messages. Please remember, even though you are annoyed with your own life, that doesnt give you right to annoy others. *sigh* people true colour really show up.
We can't agree more with you Diana D.
DeleteHihi sound like you are having fun there Sam and Meave.
ReplyDeleteI am busy rearranging my room and with family we are rearranging the entire house, so far every week we have a new layout of furniture. Its tiring sometime, but time spend is precious. Sorry to hear about you Leo Isaac but atleast use the technology to stay connect with them.
For Diana D., I am in the same boat like you are. I really start to believe some people just keep in touch with me when there are things that they really want from me, but there is also a real friends who always checking me up on my condition from time to time, thats a real friends. Keep it.
Seems like LCIH members really relax this time, maybe after this they will come out with an amazing projects and activities.
Yes KR. Keep busy and stay healthy.
DeleteI think Malaysia is doing a good job than my country, Croatia. Its a mess in here. Coffee shop and golfing is still on here. The world is in crisis and golf is important? Human is a very weird species.
ReplyDeleteHow is NGO in Malaysia? Does the government have a guideline for them to serve the needy during this crisis?
Thanks for the compliments Livenly.
DeleteThere are restrictions on NGO's so we feel it's best to stay indoors for the moment.
Ah finally a topic I can reply. Haha.
ReplyDeleteGoing try playing fort after this (i just discover the game.)
Im going to start trying to make roti canai (i can use sunflower oil too isnt it Meave? Admin?)
Yes I suddenly realise that my day doesnt seems right if I didnt message a few people, so I think these few people is the really important people in my life.
Fort. Make it a good and strong one Lisa Anne. Hihi. You can with sunflower oil or even olive oil.
DeleteQuarantine, self isolating? What's that? Haha coming from undergo cancer patient is ironic isn't it? I use to be extrovert then cancer force me to be the opposite. So what about quarantine yourself for safety sound so hard about? It's not for your lifetime. People say there's light at the end of the tunnel, why wait till the end? Open your smartphone, there's a light there, crack a hole if you must.
ReplyDeleteSeem like most of people being creative with their food, I just Google what is roti canai just now. Haha. I guess we can add in a chef in Admin profile now? Right Admin?
Diana D, we are on the same page. Sometime, I did wonder if the so called friends actually know much about me as I know them or not.
Well, good luck you guys! Find your light!
Ps - just hoping the all the extrovert out there doesn't end up like William Traynor on Me Before You. Depression is very dark.
Glad to hear from you B. We feel you have gone through the most among us to date. Take care and hope and pray that everything ends well. Let have faith in God that everyone of us will find the light.
DeletePs - don't say that Admin is a priest also.
Glad to read all of your comments and ideas here. Well really big thanks to Alexander Graham Bell for his idea of telephone invention (or the person who discover that we can send transmission using wire and others) if not we cant have this type of interaction. Hihi (yeah, lockdown give me time to do lots of research)
ReplyDeleteI like my PM speech, after all of this gone, we will have a new normal.
Leo Isaac- me and famy having fun with lots of board game. We are playing monopoly 1st time sinca the past 15 years (lucky the board are still funtion very well)
Diana D - i am agree with you. So true, that sometime we think we cant run a day without them but actually they are not that really important. Maybe they are thinking the same with us too?
Hay Admin, what is your activities during this special moment in history? Hm Admin or Admins? I forget, there's more than 1 or not?
Glad you are doing things for the first time in 15 years, Iniki. Bonding with family is a beautiful thing.
DeleteAdmin are trying to put something together for all of you.
Wow everyone is busy with some activities. Haha and all your post is longer than usual.
Activities - baking a.k.a making mess in kitchen.
About friends - yes, i do realise a lot of different when im not messaging them. Peace.
Where's Admin?
When Admin saw all your posts, they nearly fainted N. Because we now need to reply too many things but enjoy it, so keep sending them in.
DeleteIn Indonesia, its a hard task on our authorities to make people stay at home. But hey look at the world, its more green and blue now.
ReplyDeleteActivities - painting (we love it)
Friends - i agree with lot of comments here. But, maybe they are busy with their family too.
Meave, you can also add onion, eggs, some herbs too in your roti canai dough.
Did Lions still contact each other during this lockdown? I did saw some Indonesia Lions assisting for some old folks home in here on newspaper.
We discuss what type of projects we can do during lockdown Liyana, but after discussing it, at the moment we find it not safe.
DeleteMaybe Admin is busy collecting answer from each of them? Haha
ReplyDeleteCorrect Leo Isaac. Each Admin was given the task to answer a few of your questions each.
DeleteHsha really fun to read all of this.
ReplyDeleteOkay what is that something?
